Laboratories

Quality assurance

GeoSteel LLC is equipped with the latest measuring and testing equipment, ensuring stable process control and final-product testing.

Spectrometry lab

Two 26-channel ARL3460 spectrometers provide continuous analysis for every processing unit: electric arc furnace, ladle furnace, continuous caster and rolling mill.

Mechanical testing lab

The lab includes:

  • 600 kN UTE computerized tensile testing machine
  • 1000 kN UTE computerized tensile testing machine
  • Semi-automatic bending machine from 8mm to 40mm
  • Stereo zoom microscope with optical ring illuminator

Metallography lab

The lab is equipped with a metallurgical microscope, a two-disk buffing machine, a grinding machine and an underwater abrasive cutter. Its purpose is to ensure a uniform metallurgical structure in the product and to assess steel cleanliness.
